An update on ongoing development

A vital initiative to document our organisation’s rich 37-year history for future generations.

Historically, the documentation of WTSC’s activities has been limited, primarily due to the focus on daily operations by our volunteer-run committees, which are re-elected annually. Recognising this, the executive committee in 2018 proposed an archive project to systematically collect and preserve our history, given that school operations have been continuous since 1988.

The project officially commenced in 2019, with active efforts to collect historical materials. However, progress was significantly impacted and ultimately halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The archive project was reactivated by the 2023 executive committee, with the invaluable assistance of the past committee. His dedicated efforts led to the collection and showcase of materials at KV 2023. These collections were subsequently handed over to the IT team for scanning and uploading to the WTSC website. As of 2024, they have successfully digitised 14 years’ worth of KV magazines.

The 2025 executive committee is taking further initiatives to expand the archive project. Our current focus is on digitising all available hard copies of KV magazines, financial reports, and past KV videos. We are committed to converting these physical records into a comprehensive digital archive.

While we have made significant progress, some historical information remains elusive. We kindly request your assistance if you possess any KV magazines, financial reports, or past KV videos that are not yet part of our collection. Your contributions are crucial in helping us build a complete historical record of WTSC.

தமிழ் பாடசாலையில் ஆவணப்படுத்தல் நிகழ்ச்சி திட்டம்

அன்புடையீர் இத்திட்டமானது 2018ஆம் ஆண்டில் முன்மொழிக்கப்பட்டு பலதடைகள்(COVID-19 pandemic) காரணமாக ஒத்திவைக்கப்பட்டு மீண்டும் 2023 ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து முன்னெடுக்கப்படுகிறது. முதற்கட்டமாக 2023ஆம் ஆண்டின் கலை விழாவின்போது கண்டறியப்பட்ட புத்தகங்கள் பார்வைக்கு காட்சிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. இவற்றில் 14 புத்தகங்கள் scan செய்யப்பட்டு 2024ஆம் ஆண்டில் எமது வலைத்தளத்தில் பதிவிடப்பட்டது. இதன் தொடர்ச்சி 2025ஆம் ஆண்டில் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 

எமது தமிழ் பாடசாலை நீண்ட வரலாற்றினை கொண்டது. தவிர்க்க முடியாத காரணங்களால் எம்மால் சகல பதிவுகள் அடையாளப்படுத்தப்பட முடியவில்லை. இவற்றினை தந்துதவ விரும்பின் பாடசாலை நிர்வாகத்துடன் தொடர்பு கொண்டு தந்துதவவும் நன்றி.
